Market crashes happen ever 7-8yrs and maybe stretched out to 10yrs like this one. It also depends on what event triggers a crash in the markets and how much the market falls or corrects and whether the currency or other commodities follow with the market.
I know for a good reason and have it on good authority by my own (dyor) that the next market crash we have, will involve nuclear war between America and North Korea and it's just around the corner into the new year 2018. This will trigger (precious metals) in specific, gold to go up which currently gold is almost touching $1300.00 and other commodities to fall.
