Dobro, for me that is the only possiblity of getting back into music. Doing it for fun and in a band. Had a little chuckle to myself at Westsurf's post about diminishing financial returns in that scene. When I started solo it was around the time pokies hit Qld. there was big demand for entertainers all of a sudden. I was green to say the least but anyone could get a job and , for the time, the money was good. After 15 years I got quite good at my craft if I don't mind saying so myself but the pay was barely above what it was 15 years earlier. It had gone from good money to pocket money and by the end of last year I literally sang myself to a stand still trying to make a decent living. I wrecked my voice.

But one day, when I am independantly wealthy, I wouldn't mind having another crack for fun and on my terms.
