JCoure in the past all public life was dominated by men, we just weren't aware of it.
My personal preference in the media, as far as voices go, is the male voice, anytime, particularly on news programs; it is clearer and does not have the shrillness or the strange thing some female presenters do at the back of the throat (probably to make it appear lower); nobody seems to tell them how unattractive the resulting sound is.

    1. If - generalising wildly - men are not prepared to give women their support in the marriage/father quarter, they have to accept that women will have to support themselves and be out in public life working for a living, thus also competing for certain 'easy' jobs with them.

    2. In modern society many jobs can be performed equally well by men and women and we find that a woman still gets the lesser salary in a job similar to a man's. The last 10 years of my working life I had to observe how I had a male counter-part with some official title, who just sat in his office and never did any work, just read the newspapers, or wandered around with a file under his arm; he received twice my salary. There was nothing I could do about it. It was simply a fact of life, then, back in the 80s. I am sure, it still goes on.
