well, at least we agree that governments don't work like that.
I disagree that governments will be forced to change - my evidence is America -- they just rack up the debt - higher and higher and higher --
when the system fails - they will reset a currency and off they go again.
Greece is a master at the default and reset game.
culture is very very very slow to change -- one can see it very easily in say Europe where you get vastly different cultural happenings in very short distances for other places - and, much of those cultural happenings can be traced back hundreds of years - thousands in many cases.
Governments giving back money - is a very rare occurrence.
A video by Michael Moore is worth watching - even though a lot of people will think he's a pinko, puffo, liberal wanker - it really is worth a look at just to see the complete differences in cultural beliefs between different countries and how that effects the services they provide their peoples.
it's title I think is 'Where to invade next' ---------- I think it might be floating around on sbsondemand atm - not certain on that though.
It's really interesting to see what some other nations actually provide as a service to their populations in comparison to others ------------ and, the costs of that - and what you get if you actually spend a 'little' more as opposed to 'less'
the bang for your buck - well done, can be almost astronomical.
have a great day

On your other post, I can’t help but comment on where 50,000 years of non-ownership of anything got them. A continuing subsistence existence, facilitated entirely by a good climate. Such as we still see in many parts of Africa and Asia today, and probably South America. If nobody owns the productive assets, nobody will make the asset in the first place. So there won’t be any robots. But as we all own robots now, why would it have to change for the future?
