The bible describes an event and makes a promise of when this described event is to happen. It did not happen.
There is nothing you can do or say that changes what the bible describes or when the described event was supposed to happen, but did not.
That's where it stands, an event was described to happen within the generation of first Christians, they themselves believing that it would happen, but it did not happen. It is a failed prophesy.
