As you know, I say God is The Word, but that includes all that his is, his inner essence and out as in The Word of God.
Now THAT was the Key message Jesus kept putting forward and you are born again By the Word of God and Not announcing the name Jehovah.
So when Jesus in John 17 says, I have manifested your name, IMO is The Word = Spirit (and God is that One Spirit) Seed, Light, Bread, Water, Life Eternal etc etc, which is exactly what Jesus manifested.
Jesus at the end of Rev has a name written that apparently know man knew - The Word of God.
He brought that word into the world like never before (as above) exalted etc,,,, So Where do people imagine that name comes from = IMO, "The Word", the Almighty God and Father of Jesus = IMO, logical conclusion and as in,,, Image "OF".

In the OT on the I AM subject - When you look at the originals, and God is asked, who shall I say sent me - God is effectively saying, well look Moses, I'm pretty much everything and everywhere, I AM that I AM, your haven't got a book big enough to describe all the things that I am.

But that aside, the youtuble if correct which appears to be, The letters required for the Name Jehovah cannot be found in the originals and the letters JW rely on to get Jehovah, were added by the Jews.

So the likes of Mr G's reaction on these sorts of things or should I say lack of, I as yet have still not come to grips with, still find it astounding.
So that suggests to me as I have no other answers, "something or someone" has a hold of these sorts of people?

Mr Gordon has no choice but to present the prescribed belief of the JW. There's nothing to debate him on here or any Biblical question for that matter. Even if he were to see that Jehovah is an invented word and it is blasphemous to imagine God with a proper name he still must present the JW teachings or the consequences for him are horrendous.

It does not matter what he personally believes though I don't doubt that he believes God has a proper name.

It doesn't really matter what he believes or what you and I believe, but this absolute rightness the JWs believe they have is challenging to me, especially when some of their claims are really way off the mark.

Somebody in the their past came to the conclusion that God has a name and that name was Jehovah and no amount of evidence since then will budge them because openminded humility is not a part of their culture. Listening to the opinions of others with an open mind is not a part of their culture.

When you debate a JW you are really debating the entire organisations system of teachings because they don't have personal opinions regarding the Bible. They have manufactured opinions that they can not deviate from.
