What it appears to me after examining their differences, (some odd ones at that, especially when you see a lot of words altered/removed etc) is that the founders Key drive mission was/appears, to want to be a standout difference from the crowd and in so doing, total truth got pushed aside. (So they can claim, "we are "the" ones".
And the main following they seemed to want to distance themselves from was the trinity base, as you see a lot of their explanations at times, is bringing them into the picture and in places, spend more time mentioning them instead of getting onto putting their case and references.
When you hear a salesman going to town downing the opposition instead of working on and addressing what they are going to provide for you, run for the hill haha.
Speaking of reference support verses for their claims in places, numerous times I have actually looked them up and the support is no where to be found in them? And I'm not talking in the context, that I might have an odd interpretation of my own either.
The adding of a god in John 1:1, absolutely no way and not to mention and as pointed out to Mr G, Jesus is pretty much only referenced to as an only begotten god at John 1:18 in the Greek, but at this verse, he has gone to the Father in the bosom, exalted, hence the reference, begotten god.
Before then he is only referenced to as begotten Son = rules out the notion of "a god" in 1:1.
Not to mention, IMO, Jesus is not even referenced to in John until 1:14.
