I don't recall trying to argue that coal is good for our environment.
Howard though, has imo made a valid decision to keep our coal usage and sales alive. Surely this is far better than knee jerk reactions that would have a negative impact on the country as a whole.
The future rides on technology moving forward to find ways to generate power at greater efficiency than the current green alternatives and in a far more cost effective way than coal.
Here is one Howard led initiative....and so what if it is perceived as a little belated.... is that not the idea of lobbying and creating pressure on our politicians.
Take note of the coal contribution to the cost of the project and also the non-alarmist approach of Howard.
