Hi nine lives,

I think it started last Tuesday, (Melbourne Cup Day), which I think coincided with the Money Magazine release. Amateur investors looking for a punt. SP rises from 32 to 37.5. Oil jumps.

Follow this with a release saying no news for a few weeks & the chart said consolidate.

Bring on the DOW/oil falls plus the market games & you get yesterday.

Without the Melbourne Cup Day rise I'd say the SP would still be where it's at today, only with less stress involved.....
