can sub bimituous coal be transformed into oil? im just wondering coz using the fischer process its possible to get around 150 litres of crude from a ton of coal. whether this includes sub bimituous coal i dont know.
for arguements sake if it were possible, a barrel of crude has 159 litres... and SXP have a JORC of 690mill tons of coal already... (just from only this ONE EL...)
690mill * 150 = 103,500,000,000 litres
103,500,000,000 / 159 = 650,943,396 barrels of crude
$70 * 650,943,396 = $45billion...
is this right or have i lost my mind? $45billion potential already... sounds a bit TOO good... i was just trying to put a $ amount on what they already got from this one EL... if they achieve their 2bn-3bn ton target then u could imagine what that figure becomes lol...
and to think this co. is more of an oil play and this coal etc. is only meant to be a side dish.... scary...
