re: time frame for results slt
Thanks Billy for a copy of the the shaw report.
I've disected the report with info that interested me.
HEV(hep E test): finalisation of the HEV deal for manufacturing and dist is due in the next few weeks. SLT is in the process of signing a license deal with genelabs for its HEV kit, which should be finalised in nov 2003.
HAV(hep A test): Negotiations have also commenced with several multi-national pharmaceutical and bio companies interested in licensing SLT's HAV test for dist and marketing. a deal is to be concluded towards the end of march 2004, with sales commencing by mid-2004.
HCV(hep C test): Discussions are underway with a multi-billion dollar US vaccine company interested in forming a collaborative R&D partnership with SLT for the development of the HCV rapid kit. the deal is expected to be finalised in Nov 2003. the prototype of the HCV test is expected to be completed by june 2004, allowing a license deal to be signed with a global dist in third quarter 2004
it should be noted that there are no similar quality rapid diagnostics available on the market for hepatitis, further, SLT's strategy is to seek manufacturing and dist agreements which will keep costs low and therefore royalty revenue will flow through to the bottom line.
in summary I see two announcements before christmas, the HEV will give SLT revenue immediately. the HCV agreement for partnership in R&D will speed up the test for Dist as stated in the above paragraph, so dist for the HCV test will start 3rd quarter 2004 which is closer than was originally planned, the HCV test will create massive revenue for SLT, exciting times for the next few weeks and I can't imagine what the SP will be in 2004.
good luck to SLT holders which I am one
