- Largest Vanadium Deposit in Australia if not the world - surface/low strip low cost open cast mine using existing readily available technology / equipment ( see interview posted earlier today A$ 300-400 million development cost)
- High in demand products with rapidly increasing pricing Vanadium pentoxide expect to double in price over next 3 years from circa U$9.50 per lb
- Metallurgy almost complete - Already have produced the necessary 99.5% vanadium pentoxide (see ASX announcement 4 Dec - Just optimizing and fine tuning in my opinion prior to metallurgy completion announcement by end this month. (This metallurgy and sample products are critical prior to any JV discussions - similar to AUZ)
- More advanced than AVL and many other vanadium options
- Better more focused management than others - in my opinion - (i.e not wasting money AVL lithium chasing in Africa and don't need expensive consultants to look for partners).
- Scoping work due by June this year is more like updating previous work studies and assumptions - they have had this opportunity dormant since 2012 when the did the JORC resource studies and much of the preliminary study work - it was just that Vanadium tanked and they are wise enough to keep the project and mothball it until now when Vanadium in all its forms is taking off - especially Redox batteries - this is now and projected to be the "holy grail" of electricity storage for both large/medium electricity grids and home storage electricity solutions.
Before going green was cleaner but more expensive - now with solar and vanadium redox its cleaner and cheaper.
This is going to eliminate coal fired per plants across China (coal accounts for 80% of Chinese electricity generation).
1.6 million in China die of pollution each year (yep thats right 1,600,000 people per year) its a massive problem, and consequently a source of major dissatisfaction with the Communist party - that why they are building massive solar power plants and redox battery plants now.
(unfortunately - its not all good news - while the Chinese will go "green power" they cannot retool quick enough so instead of building coal fired plants in China they will export 900 plants to poorer Asian and African countries - hopefully these countries will figure out going green is better too and say no that your to pollution).
What about Australia - Elon Musk speaking to US state governors June last year stated that to supply all the US electrical needs with solar would require only 100 sq miles of solar yep for all 360 million people and the largest industrial power.
You would recon with Australia under 25 million people it would take less that 25 sq miles - a land with so much land and sunshine should and could be 100% green energy (like New Zealand) with no power shortages. (Japan, Italy etc could be 100% green on geothermal (steam) Japan hot spring in every town could have geothermal in every town))
What we have is most countries is not a shortage of energy or electrical power its a shortage of political vision and leadship and too many vested interests.
