I'm not starting a p*ssing contest with you but I was born and raised and still living in the general area and currently work in the local ag industry. the new inland rail route is not going over existing track in our area, it's a complete new line with multiple land acquisitions required and so far only sub par hydrology work has been carried out, and you watch if it goes ahead the budget will blow out substantially so they avoid ruining livelihoods and communities through creating flood traps.
I welcome the extension of the Maitland -Tamworth line but still 300km from Ashford. Good to have people thinking outside the square though.
