I know I'll get a lot of heat for saying this, but shorters play a very important role in financial markets by keeping bubbles in check. If a shorter shorts, and it turns out that the stock isn't overvalued, then the shorter loses money and that should be of no concern to us long term holders. If the stock was in fact overvalued, then that's a really good, and in my opinion, deservedly gain for the shorter. I'm not sure why people hold such a grudge against them, especially if you are a long-term holder.
As I have mentioned in a previous post, people are much too concerned about short term gains. If you are comfortable with the direction this company is taking, then shorters should be of no concern to any of you.
