I think you could be right and it would make sense to do it this way if evaporation rates are favourable. It will get more brine in smaller ponds sooner. They also have stage 1 concentrate (Ready to process) and I assume more in those ponds as well.

For me the key points for today are:

* AGY are very close to production. IMO absolutely no doubt! It would be foolish to put that degree of upline infrastructure in place on a gamble that the process would work!
* AGY management have been working hard on finding the right oftake deal. Major companies/conglomerates have recently visited the site. Even an MOU at this stage will send the SP well north of 40c. SOMETHING IS IN THE WIND.
* The market is aware and the buying over the last few days (IMO) is not classic P and D. Yesterday was an interesting day! At every point where a sell down could have occured share holders held firm and said NO IT'S NOT TIME TO LET THEM GO. Who wants to be out when a significant deal is announced?
* Think about AVZ a few months back...... it ran and ran for days maybe 5 in a row? The buying here is a bit different and more concidered here IMO but it still needs to run after being held back for so long.
* Consolidation/ retrace will occure at some stage in the future. I DONT THINK IT'S TODAY. If no ann this week things may settle a bit but late week but still plenty who want in on this and when the SP is 80c, 40c looks like a bargain!
