Martis, I think you are somewhat over-zealous concerning the DOW and its imminent demise but I do think its going to have a big correction any day now. I think tonight will be another negative night, but we will see.

I have been shorting it over the last week or so and have done well. It looks very shaky at the moment I agree.

I cant see how you could say that it will never hit 13500 for another 5 years - that seems plain crazy to me! Do you honestly believe this? You say as a good investor you need to be able to turn on a dime - fair enough, but coming up with no more 13500 for 5y is a long term statement. Would you retract this comment as quick as you made it if it suits? This is why people find it hard take anything you say seriously - because you change your mind all the time and never use qualifiers but talk in absolutes, when nothing is absolute. You would be this first to admit this as your statements about being reactive bare witness.

You like to put yourself above other experienced traders on this forum, esp T4, in so far as predicting the outcome of certain scenarios go. As I said before, I note you always speak in absolutes - which is never a good thing. T4 always make use of qualifiers - "if" this happens this "may" happen etc (even though many seem to ignore these parts of the sentence) and gives people something to think about and mull over. This is where you two are very different. You make sweeping unsubstantiated generalisations, where as other astute traders who like to share knowledge actually give you options and possible scenarios.

Unlike yourself, they are NOT trying to get people to do anything but merely giving them options based on their research and hope they do some themselves. Why don't you try supporting your statements with some sound reasoning so others, including myself, can benefit from the Great Martis and his infinite wisdom instead of relegating him to the lunatic HotCopper fringes and believing his sunglasses came from the servo and not the Gucci store.

Anyway, I do hope your predictions concerning the DOW are proved incorrect and if they are proved correct no one will care whether you made the right call anyway as they will be to busy fighting for their financial lives.
