Anyone who thinks Co prices won't increase in the present market environment have got to be dreaming. You could not take Aiki99 for real, rather you would surmise ulterior motives.

I read a post here (or on another Cobalt forum recently by @Barolobill) where it was put that he didn't want to see Co prices get too expensive because it would promote even more research into cheaper alternative battery technologies. Which is a view that I had already taken and fully agreed with.

Cobalt from the DRC doesn't matter it still wouldn't cover the coming shortfall in supply, the battery building factories are already there (or are being built DYOR), billions have been committed - more in train. There is heaps of battery research happening, but it would take several years before anything better (after it has been proven up - which takes more time) could be anywhere near market ready and then manufactured.

Someone else I read on HC recently said "In the DRC they dig cobalt with AK47's, everywhere else they dig it with shovels", unfortunately the DRC's intractable problems will not go away overnight either - it is not just about Joseph Kabila - much bigger problems there.

However it will take a lot more than CLQ to fill the void that will be felt in the cobalt market.
