No!, firstly the scale of Argyle v Merlin, Argyle over its lifetime has ranged from about 10 million cts to 45 million cts per year, Merlin has ranged from 0 to a over 100,000cts per year.
Argyle produced a very small % of pinks, the rest averaged $20-$30 per carat. Merlin historically produces high quality white/brown diamonds reportedly averaging in the hundreds of $/ct.
If this mine is to be successful it will be based on digging enough of these diamonds up cost effectively, any fancy colours (most likely Fancy yellow) would be a bonus.
