i'm no expert so am prepared to be shot down, but from what i read the high costs of production from Collingwood are primarily due to higher levels of copper, which apparently gets penalised by the tin smelter - what MLX are doing is shipping Collingwood ore to Renison for further concentration to seperate the copper extract. This will not only reduce the penalties that had been incurred, which increases the price of the tin received, and allow another small revenue stream in copper to be received, therefore turning the penalty into and positive revenue stream.

So the reported loss on operations at Collingwood, will now be a revenue, regardless of how big or small.

    the end.
