spanners, you are the only one to put it into perspective. Any money spent, as long as it is not spent overseas, by the time it has worked it's way through the community, (multiplier effect) by virtue of various taxes etc, particularly GST, an equivalent amount will have found it's way back into the government coffers in very short time. I mean some of these people must think that whatever money the government spends ends up stashed under somebodys bed.
