There is always the third option which is explaining how they plan to proceed with the mine since they've got results back excellent results on the (smallish) bulk sample.
No sell off on Novo today (actually stronger towards the end of the day) indicates no major bad news.
I suspect they will announce about wildly varying results and the conference call is about confirmation that they believe there is more than enough evidence to proceed with a much larger bulk sample.
