This is a picture of a 4 year old sandalwood tree. Probably will yield 2kg on this tree and that is on 300mm rainfall. Exciting tree crop. Carbon should only be the cream. But tree crops should always yield a commodity for significant cashflow.
This picture shows the sandalwood (in foreground with green nuts) growing amongst its host trees in this case long lived Mulga trees (Acacia aneura). Not only does it act as a carbon sink, the system generate its own fertilizer as the Acacia are legumes and produce nitrogen to fuel fertility.![]()
