With trials like this I wonder if initial participants have a poorer prognosis to begin with...perhaps as the trial continues and is shown to be safe a wider variety (within protocol) of participants might take part...people who might be less sick and could potentially benefit more from the treatment rather than some of the initial brave people with relatively less to loose. I also wonder what impact the time taken between enrolment and dosing has on prognosis...hopefully this time gets less as the trial goes on and hopefully this treatment is working for all these sick people.
