You know, you could dress up the info in that post with positive spin and present an appealing case for many readers ... and for the overall betterment of green initiatives.
The best point you make is that opportunity costs of solar (or other green initiatives) compared to "current" mainstream alternatives is very very conservative if one expects the effects of peak oil/carbon taxing to kick in anytime soon.
You've done the right thing with your initiatives to date, but work harder on appealing to a wider audience if you have the energy and commitment.
Btw, if you didn't know lol, I will be voting Liberal on Saturday ... so thinking sterotypically in terms of enlightened Lab voters or heathen Lib voters isnt helpful for the green cause imo.
