the problem with the guy in question was....as far as the 5grander went, was that the posts lacked transparency.
before i go further, i'm not out to slag anyone, and my thoughts were purely opinion, and, given the anonymity of HC, its very hard to prove what someone as posted...
what concerned me was that the trades seemed to be part of a larger portfolio/holding that was able big enough to affect the course of trades, no doubt assisted by the large number of followers. I wont say trade was manipulated, but it is only natural that trade will be influenced when a large trader is at work, just as any trade can be influenced by various factors. Further, i got the impression that trades can then be "cherry picked"........a big concern when folk who contribute to the thread, dont separate their "5 grand" trades.
Could they be construed as hindsight trades....i dont know and i dont want to get into pointing fingers as is it now history and readers would make their own assumptions anyway
My only concern back then was the openness or transparency of what people posted.....whether truth or lie is for the individual to assess.
As for following the names you see, mainly from T20's....its well worth the effort to follow the money, however....think of the names of the last couple of years, and where they are now in their standing......Walker, Wall, Ismail, Tolga etc.............all rose from nowhere to become the next big thing. Look at their history, are they still "legends" ?.......do a google search and get a look at some of them.....usually in their early 40's tops, and as such, have been able to ride the bull, too young to have seen the troughs of the cycle...........not for one minute denigrating their efforts of course.....
Trade the stock, and name of the moment by all means, but for true wealth building its the not so common names that are at the forefront......Middlemass, Haggarty to name two.......
In this market dictated by a goldfish attitude, the heroes will come and go just as quickly as we can swim around to the other castle.
