Australia Day: 2 big leftie lies

The Left rely on TWO BIG LIES in arguing to abolish Australia Day:

1. That 26 January 1788 was an Invasion Day.

Fact: the First Fleet came here with convicts in chains and under guard - hardly an invasion force. Fact: there was no warfare, no organised military resistance and conflict. There was no invasion.

2. That Australia Day is a recent invention and can be easily changed.

Fact: the early settlers celebrated each anniversary of 26 January 1788 and on the 30 year anniversary (1818) Governor Macquarie made it a public holiday. 26 January has always been a day of vital historical significance for Australia.
