It depends how you define socialism I guess. I am happy with this definition: "the set of beliefs that states that all people are equal and should share equally in a country's money, or the political systems based on these beliefs" (https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/socialism)

Certainly we are not all equal as we all have different talents and attributes. Another issue is that it isn't fair for us all to share in the nation's wealth equally as some contribute more to the nation than others.
