Problems are: 1. Corrupt Afhani government. 2. NATO wont committ enough troops and the ones they have are not deployed in the problem areas. 3. US over committed in IRAQ. 4. Not enough resources put into Nation building leaving no option but for people to continue as before growing poppies and beign corrupt to make a living. 5. Aussies sucked into another overseas war with the Yanks where we have no business being. 6. Taliban can set up and operate from Pakistan because Musharif not committed enough to eradicating them.
Unwinnable position with the current committment from all parties involved.
