Been hot in the inland Pilbara as usual in recent weeks, and now a little rain too to slow things up. Dec/Jan holidays slows things down a bit too, and in Perth too with the assays we are all waiting upon. Only a week or two more now to wait but share price obviously a plaything in the market during the current void of news atm.
Not good for the new year spirits, but hopefully this will all change in the weeks months ahead as numerous results from the Lab start to roll in, as they will.
Maybe a little quiet time in the meanwhile to reflect on what we do know from the Purdys Reward early dig so far.
Size of the Purdy's Conglomerate trend is by past reporting up to 500m wide and 2km or so long, or maybe 3km plus under cover as per ARV releases indicate. Multi stacked Conglomerate beds to date vary from 4m to 16m plus thick with course gold occurring throughout the conglomerate sequence, not just at surface as per ARV release 3rd Nov 2017. From trenching pits pics to date this seems to be so, but the larger bulk sampling to come should hopefully confirm. In the 30m x 10m trial pit (300sq metres) there wer plus 360 nugget targets highlighted in pink at the top of the conglomerate bed. As the Minelab 2300 detector used will only detect small nugget targets several inches from surface the mind boggles at what may lie beneath in the multi stacked conglomerate beds. Is the top of the bed where the gold lies or do the forces of gravity result in the heavier bits to lie at or near the base of the beds? This is the news we are all waiting on, and if it does then Purdy's will be something very special indeed. The nugget occurences seem to be quite uniform across the top of the exposed conglomerate bed in the trial pit. If this proves to be the case across the entire Purdy's trend say 2km x 400m this equates to approx 800,000 square metres of conglomerate beds or over 2600 times the area of the trial pit, or close to a million nuggets, and that is just in the first few inches . The bulk sampling results to come should start to answer the uniformity question and also the thickness of the nugget bearing beds and then we will have our first clues to just how big this thing is.
Regarding the fine gold even if it is not diseminated throughout the conglomerate beds as Novo reports it still forms a halo around the bulk of the nuggets found in situ to date. The few grams that I personally dug out of the hard rock prior to the Novo dig on loop inspection confirmed this halo effect. Two hole's went about 17 grams each only a few inches down, but hard digging by hand. The next time we went for a dig it was too late with Novo & co already on site. With maybe umteen possible million nuggets in situ then the fine gold portion should still help to pay a few mining bills to come.
What ever the results will soon come in confirming or not what a beast this thing is, and if many come in as good as the first as they must, then ARV should re ignite. It would be like winning gold lotto and defies logic that the first bit of rock they dug out was the only high grade location at Purdy's .
We will soon all find out and just maybe get this back in the headlines again as it's been quite dull of late.
    Hope I'm not dreamin here!
    Cheers
    mamba
