The stock makes no difference. If you believe a stock is under priced you buy. If you believe it is over priceed you sell. This idea of I am a long term holder is garbage. Why would anyone hold a stock they think is over valued. It sounds great but why would you do it? Now sometimes you miss somthing. Last year with refi I bought. Learning more about ReFi and seeing REE prices drop in november I sold. I ended up buying back in Febuarey at a higher price than I sold. did this cost me? yes. But it had nothing to do with long or short term holder it had to do with what I thought the stock would do. work it out if you think $2.00 is a solid price then hold. If you think long term ( 3 to 6 months) LYC will have trouble supporting $2.00 then sell. why would anybody hold through a major drop in price just because they think the stock has great potential a few years out? I recently sold because I do not understand what is suporting todays price. I may lose but my logic is I have a good chance of buying back in at half the price. I may get locked out but there are many stocks out there that have better risk rewards than Lynas.
WHY Hold if you cannot justify the Current price. I have asked many times why people think even $2.00 is a fair price, not one seriouse answer. Lots of comments about this will be great years out . Why hold now if that is the case? Watch I will get critized severly for this post but not one reply of why this stock should have a market cap over a billion $. Not one example of how Profits or Equity or discounted cash flow justifies a price of $2.00 a year from now. What does that tell you?
