Not sure about this market manipulation.If you can produce the slightest whiff of evidence i would be interested to see it.
I think far more likely is the accord reached by SQM yesterday.I quote from it ........
(c) The authorization by CORFO to increase the production and sales of lithium products produced in the Salar de Atacama. Subject to prior authorization by CCHEN, the Agreement considers that SQM Salar will have the right to exploit, subject to compliance with other agreed conditions, process and sell during the term of the Agreement (until the end of 2030) up to 349,553 metric tons of lithium metallic equivalent in the addition to the approximately remaining 64,816 metric tons of lithium metallic equivalent from the originally authorized amount. The sum of the above amounts is equal to approximately 2.2 million metric tons of lithium carbonate equivalent.


To give it context 2.2 million tons LCE is about 10 times the market size in 2016
This is still a speculative share.Some of the shares I owned were worth 1 cent not that long ago.The huge price increases have been driven by some of the most disruptive technology of my lifetime in fact ever.They will continue to unravel and demand will continue to increase at astounding rates .Countering this is the the huge long term supply.Bolivia could supply the worlds increased demand but wont we presume for reasons more than the magnesium content. There many other great deposits in the world from Argentina and Australia to Zaire and Zimbabwe some of which will materialize over differing timeframes and others wont.What I did not expect was SQM agreement in Chile with Corfo.
It is more worrying than most because SQM know what they are doing.know what is needed and have the money to execute it
Despite the above it will take a couple of years to get there but 3 to 4 years and the price is more than possible to have come off its bonanza highs.We could have earnings of 7cents per share till then
As a worried man I sold out this am so for first time in many years I will post as a non holder.Will reexamine in a new light and would happily reenter if I see fit .great company and great management but a large percentage of my modest stash was locked up here so i have taken my money off the table until I get clearer insight.
I am sure there are others like me but WE ARE NOT MANIPULATORS.just unsure of whats happening
