This is where you are different to me.
When I believe my purchase was a stuff up, and who doesn't make at least the occasional stuff up purchase, I usually pretty quickly sell out and move on.
I'm quite OK with taking a loss.
I don't continue holding the stock waiting for it to get back to what I bought so I can sell out and break even nor do I average down so there is a lower break even get out price.
