WALL ST REBOUNDS AS CONFIDENCE RETURNS

Wall Street buyers decided to run against the trend and sent the
Dow surging ahead 182 points in a shortened last session for the week
after reluctantly returning to the market from the Thanksgiving Day
holiday......
WALL STREET's Dow settled 181.84 higher at 12,980.88 while the
S&P 500 index gained 23.93 to 1440.7. The Nasdaq Composite finished 34.45
points ahead at 2596.6 while the 100 index advanced 22.52 to 2028.90 on
the close.
