Just in this case the burger merchants control the worlds financial press and make a lot of noise. But at the end of the day, their loss, someone elses gain. Business moves from "Disreputable Street" to London, Shanghai, Frankfurt etc.

Meanwhile the steel mills keep going, and in a resource constrained world the output simply goes somewhere other than to the american consumer.
