I don't know how big the job sections are in the major newspapers, but that is the fastest growing section in my local newspapers. One from a town of about 10,000 the other about 20,000, one paper has 5 full pages of jobs, the other 10 pages. It didn't seem that long ago that you might see only one advert or more than likely, none.
It doesn't take much to get the job market to expand. The other day they were reporting on a new enterprise kicking off shortly in the area and have worked out that for each person that will employed directly by the enterprise another 0.65 jobs will be created.
Incidently none of those new jobs were in the 5 pages of ads this week, that is still to come.
