You completely miss the point. MMX's offer was at a large premium to what MIS was trading at previously and it is highly likely that a merged MIS/MMX entity would be immediately re-rated by the market at an even higher premium. Also, a merger means elimination of infrastructure uncertainties and as of consequence accelerated mine development. That would be be of huge benefit to all combined MIS/MMX shareholders.
