ABC are fearless, because it is not their money. Fairfax shareholders must be crazy to leave management in charge who run this. Of course their rag needs the circulation and they likely bet against his ability to successfully fight back.

Regardless of the veracity of the claims, the way it has been handled is appalling. A bit like the Trump Russia-gate non scandal perhaps. Media decide the story, and the job of the reporter is to justify the headline. This was admitted to me by a senior journalist, in a different context.

Simply appearing in such a show as Rocky Horroe seriously questions the decency and sense of the people involved. It is not a place for shrinking violets, though that in no way makes it OK to behave in the manner of the reported accusations.
