The question of how many shares on issue is a simple one. How many shares has the company got on issue currently?
So lets say it was 100 million and the company ended up with $100 mill cash then the cash backing would be $1 per share. If they have a billion shares on issue that woukd be 10c cash backing per share.
if there was a billion shares and $50 mill cash it would be 5c per share.
