futures trading platforms, page-7

Interactive brokers have cheap execution ($5 a side SFE, $1.80-$2.50 for most US futures) and there SFE data is free as is US if you meet minimum trading commissions for the month (around $30- check it though). The charting is ok but you might want to look elsewhere to add to it. I've traded thousands of contracts with only 1 slight issue which I had resolved by them quickly. I've traded through two major Aussie brokers in the past as well as one smaller one using Jtrader and iress as well as CMC for CFDs and the platform IB uses in my opinion is better. But it may depend on what you intend trading. A good broker can make a difference but finding one that outweighs IB's cost savings has so far been too hard for me. Churn and burn is still the underlying survival tactic for the brokers I have encountered.
