Nobody will pick up under subscriptions unless the co had previously announced they were underwritten.

Usually underwriting would only be taken for a SPP or higher priced offer - or for expiring options not converted.
As these were loyalty ops, there is no chance they'll give any extras away that they didn't have to.
It wasn't done as a major fund raiser - it was a neat deal to encourage investors and longer term holders.
