It's simple math actually.
If I bought at $0.43 trade under normal conditions to $2.17 = 500% return
If I bought at $0.43 then consolidate to $2.17 = 0% return. From $2.17 trade up to $4.50 = 100% return.
If I had bought at $0.43 & the SP didn't consolidate then traded to $4.50 I could have made 1000%
