@5hareholder - That conduct you’ve mentioned in that certain thread by that person. That is really.. I’m sorry.. in light of all of the honest sentiment, good will, assistance and guidance from gracious and thoughtful people on this thread.. That is .. more than overly disappointing.
Someone once posted recently that the STT response to this conduct was akin to ‘communal bullying’. This is an inaccurate representation of what has occurred.
When my wife and I discipline our children, we aren’t ganging up on them to degrade, mock or humiliate. We don’t bully them into submission for our own gratification. We’re teaching them lessons about certain important (universal) principles, that are best learned in a safe and encouraging environment. And if they don’t immediately learn, we rinse repeat, until the lesson sinks in. And if it doesn’t sink in, then we firmly escalate until it does.
I pity anyone - regardless of wealth, merit or position - who refuses to listen to honest friends who attempt to gently restore them if they stray off the path (ref: James 5:20).
I write all that a little reluctantly, given all of the variables. But some things must be said*. My final thoughts on it.
