A few points to note:
The A1 is a narrow vein medium to high grade gold mine that has shown steady production for well over a century. To optimise gold production and minimise dilution it must be worked as an airleg (low tonnage) operation. The recent breccia style long hole exercise would, in my opinion, have been break even at best and it took many months to prepare it for production. You can't have both high mill feed and high gold winnings from these dyke style orebodies as high mill feed means massive dilution.
