I've met lots of good Chinese people, and some bad, same goes with Indians, and every other nationality within Oz. I've done quite a bit of travel yes, not that I know what the latter has to do with anything. I've had first hand experience with the African issue and am very aware of the difficulties they face.
I try to live by the "fair go" adage, and judge people for who they are rather than their skin tone. Unlike the righties in HC I embrace a multi cultural society, which this country has been since the early 1800's. I think it's a fantastic concept which builds a much more vibrant society. Well worth the occasional growing pains that we're seeing at the moment. If this country still had the white australia policy we'd be very much worse off for it. I know my kids have no issues with people of different races lbeing citizens here and I take comfort in the fact that when the old righties die out this country will be far more tolerant than it is now.
