So whilst not quite HC, there are plenty of other chatrooms out there.
HC is a premiere site, but not the type of site that those wanting to do something /send messages would want to frequent. Otherwise, we would always be bogged down in discerning such messages as to whether TMS is due for a breakout actually means jailbreak out of Goulburn, or Jailbreak by ACDC, etc.
Yes, I'm taking the p1ss out of HC on this one. But, I'm also noting that HC is plugged in as a virtual reality site meaning that it is a good surrogate for obtaining some raw data. Whilst SD posted first on the US Futures, the actual first HC post concerning Istanbul came from shankr @8:27pm, just as the first CNN email alert came through, and just after CNN reported the explosions on its news service.
So, for all those who knock HC from time to time, we should remember that the site does, and is a collective hive of activity and that much of its information is as fast moving as is the real world out there. HC is, therefore, a good starting point for information, but to where you go next with that information, or what you do with it, is up to you.
For me, I was asleep (catnapping) when the news first came through, so HC actually represented my first information source prior to checking emails.
Now, the next question becomes, why the sudden $4.00 spike in the gold price 2 hours ago?
