There will almost certainly be further tariffs.
I can't see any downside to Lynas if China pulls another stunt like they did to Japan in 2010(?); just the opposite, as another poster mentioned.
The washing machine tariff was ten years in litigation apparently (Obama did nothing) and the US Int'l Trade Commission finally recommended tariffs (likely Trump got them to get off their asses). There's no problem here, imo, but let them litigate it if they want now that it's done.
Trump is also raising a stink about countries who enjoy market access to America, but who do not reciprocate. That one-sidedness is bullshite and I heartily support Trump's making an issue of it.
FWIW, I have no problem with Trump standing up for American workers and no problem with the two tariff schemes imposed at this time.
We still consider the present market moves to be an extension of the "Trump rally", so a lot of us are glad he beat Clinton (I was just as thankful Obama beat Clinton, to be clear) and brought workers and job growth to the forefront.

Paraphrasing a meme I recently saw: If Trump came out for oxygen, Bloomberg (and the Democrats he adores) would probably stop breathing in protest.
