Not sure where your facts are to support your opinions, but since opinions seems to be all that's required let me share mine. In my opinion the Australian roll-out has been tremendously successful, if anything I'm surprised at how many outlets are carrying the product. Is it worth the time and effort in such a small market? Profitable? Maybe not but perhaps they were looking for a small town win and satisfy some sentimental supporters.
America is where the profits will be made, and its still early days, mistakes will be made, risks will be taken, profits will be spent and if we are lucky our investment will grow.
