world tungsten outlook ....

    Just a few thoughts.

We are dealing with a pretty small market. Total world consumption and supply of tungsten is miniscule in dollar terms compared to iron ore, nickel, copper etc. etc.

That means imbalances can quickly appear AND also disappear and have a dramatic affect one way or the other. What will the phasing out of tungsten lights have? Will enough tungsten be consumed elsewhere to compensate for this and increasing production?

At present most likely, due to the lack of exploration over the last 20 years. But as tungsten output increases in coming years ....

Recently I have been looking with some concerns at the website of Canadian company North American Tungsten, a leading tungsten producer .... http://www.natungsten.com./index.shtml

What surprised me considering it is a significant producer and NOT an explorer, or a company hoping to get into production, was its relatively low market cap.

North American Tungsten also has a substantial tungsten resource that it is seriously considering bringing into production:

"The Company has engaged Wardrop to immediately initiate a full feasibility study on the Mactung project. This study is expected to take 9-12 months and results will be made public upon completion.

Mactung is a strategic asset due to its size, grade and location and is one of the largest known undeveloped high grade tungsten-skarn deposits in the World.

The Mactung Project has indicated resources of 33.0 million tons grading at 0.88% WO3 and an inferred mineral resource estimate of 11.3 million tons grading at 0.78% WO3 in accordance with CIM classifications pursuant to NI 43-101."
