    Well there's the irony... sometimes kangaroos do become prolific because of the abundance of food that we have provided.

    If the farmers limited the kangaroos access, then the problem may be reduced somewhat.

    As for trampling crops, my observations of them are that they hop (i.e. jump over) and then sit and graze. Cows, as a matter of interest, can 'trample' their food when there is frost on the ground, as every step they take during that time causes damage.

    And you'd probably be surprised at how little water the Australian wildflowers need - in fact we NEVER water ours - other than the initial drink they got when they were planted.

    And... I can see a day when bread will be $10.00 a loaf - sometimes it is nearly $5.00 at the moment. The farmer sees very little of that money.

    I bake my own bread sometimes - still can't get the hang of the camp oven though as the bottom often gets burnt when I cook them that way.

    And, keep buying your lady flowers. She will probably reward you tenfold.
