I think that none of them wanted the job because it is an old house and a bit fiddly, but based on my observation of the actual amount of work done it involved no more than 25 hours. I was painting the house (this was before we moved in) so the drag out over 2 weeks was a huge pain.

When I lived in my previous house (2013) I had another sparkie replace the entire electrics for $1500 (it took him around 10 days). He did such a good job and worked so hard I gave him an extra $500.
